I could not put the book down. It is a real page turner. I kept wanting to know what was gonna to happen next. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. It is a perfect blend of romance, action, and the paranormal. The characters seemed so real that I fell for all of them. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. It is definitely a book I would want to read over and over again. Truly it has become one of my favorites right up there with Harry Potter and The Twilight Series. Keep up the good work Christy Sloat. I look forward to the next book. :) Michelle Jetton

First of all, let me state that I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book was FANTASTIC! I had a hard time putting it down. The characters come to life, and you can find yourself in their shoes.

Avery has a lot to process. Finding out that she is soul mates with someone who has been in all her past lives is an interesting twist I've not seen in books before, and it held my complete attention.

I definitely recommend this book!

I had heard many good things about this novel before author Christy Sloat approached me about reviewing it. I see why so many people like it. It is a horrible dilemma to be in. You're in love with one person, but supposedly are destined to be with another. Life after life, you come back to each other, only to be ripped apart again. This time around, though, there is a twist in the plot that makes the decision even more difficult. See, in a way, Avery is destined to be with both of these men. You find yourself changing your mind throughout the book as to which one really is the right one for her. You may question her choices along the way and certainly how the story ends.

Avery is 26 years old, which is older than your typical young adult heroine. She does, however, have somewhat of a naivety about her that makes her sound younger than her years and is quick to dive into relationships. I think this helps the story to fit in perfectly to this genre. Teens and adults will both enjoy this love story.

If I am not mistaken, this is Sloat's first novel. I read and reviewed her second one, The Brown House, a few months ago. (Click here to read that review.) I see some growth from this one to that one and think that this is an author to watch. I also believe that there are sequels for both of these books that are due out sometime in the next months. I look forward to reading more from her!

I read The Many Lives of Avery Snow. I recommend this book. I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the writing style and the story flowed smoothly. It begins with a girl named Avery who works at a assisted living place. She is in a state of depression where she can't sleep. At most she gets 3 hours of sleep at night and wakes up feeling likes she's missing something. She learns that she has a Spirit Guide named Ianni and she has been reincarnated. She is in her 4th life and her soul mate reincarnated also all the times she has and has found her every time. This sounds romantic, but she is always meant to be with someone else every reincarnated lifetime. Things get very complicated and she falls or has already fallen for the bartender named Dallas. Later she finds out who her soul mate is and there is this battle within her mind and for her soul. There is a big battle at the end but I'm not telling any secrets... I like this author's books! I will continue to read every book she writes! :)

Short Description: Do you believe in reincarnation and a love that can last lifetimes?
I thoroughly enjoyed, Mrs. Sloat's novel, "The Many Lives of Avery Snow". It was intriguing from the first page. Mrs. Sloat does an excellent job with character and relationship development. The author draws you into the plot, where a young adult, Avery, begins to recall her previous lives and the meetings with her soul mate in each one. Avery starts to think she is hallucinating when Angels start appearing in her life and she starts having visions. Mrs. Sloat, does an excellent job of portraying the feelings and emotions that accompany the relationships in the books drawing the reader into the story. We wind up being caught in the ever present battle between good and evil. She builds up to the climax with climbing anticipation, although I felt there was a little missing in some of the characters that showed up at the cabin. The final chapters, that tie everything together are well organized and compelling. They give a tremendous sense of satisfaction without compromising the plot or the point.
Overall I thought this is an excellent, easy read. Mrs. Sloat does a terrific job of integrating the powers of angels and demons, I would love to hear more about the psychic realms. Her novel stresses the concept of past lives, and everlasting love without over dramatizing or farfetched logic. Her characters are her strong point, as is her overall plot development.

This is a fantastic read! I sometimes read 2-3 books at a time & I pushed aside others because I couldn't put this down. I loved the Spirit Guides and their wings with the changing colors. I loved the characters! The story had a great plot and it all came together nicely. Christy Sloat is very creative and she tells Avery's story beautifully. There is a bit of romance, some suspense and paranormal. The storyline is very easy to follow and captivating. I can't wait to read the next installment!
