Clearing the Air

A sweet, hot, short read involving two secondary characters from my previously published ebook, Saving Sydney.
Deke McIntyre doesn't do relationships, just women. That is until he meets a petite bundle of dynamite known as Sophie Devereaux. Pretty Miss Sophie turns his world upside down, but he doesn't think he's deserving of someone like her. Perhaps she can convince him otherwise. More
Deke McIntyre is a charmer, a talker, a biker, and he loves women. Maybe too much. But he also has a set of self-imposed “rules” he’s always followed in regards to those women, one of which is no overnight dates. He's the very definition of the love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy. Of course, when he meets pretty Miss Sophie Devereaux it upset his apple cart, big time.
Sophie Devereaux is a petite, brown-eyed little bundle of dynamite, with curly white-blond hair and a terrible track record with men. She tends to fall for them too quickly, and that’s exactly what happens when she meets Deke McIntyre.
Sophie and Deke have an instant chemistry, but where she wants it to lead to more, Deke freaks out over the intensity of the attraction and handles it badly. This short novella is all about how they find their way back to each other.
Author Disclaimer: Ever since I finished Saving Sydney, I’ve wanted to give Deke and Sophie their own story. I had a real connection to them both, and my readers did too, because I got a lot of mail asking if I was planning to write them a book. Honestly, I had planned to do that, but for private reasons, I won’t be going that route. But still, I felt like I owed them a resolution and a happily-ever-after. And so “Clearing the Air” was born. It’s relatively short at just over 8,000 words, but I loved writing it. Also, it's because of the length and the fact that it's not professionally edited, I didn't feel it fair to charge anything for it. I hope you enjoy it, and please drop me a note and tell me what you thought!
