Management: The other side

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
This is management as viewed from the people in the trenches, the people that make it happen. Most of the ideas, concepts, thoughts, and general management impressions in this book were gathered from break room discussions, personal experiences, sitting around the campfire and interviews with personnel who have to report to higher authority. The intent of this book is to share those experiences.

Review by: Tim O'Reilly on Nov. 27, 2010 :
I'm a semi-old guy and I've been in the workforce for more years than I care to remember and this book has got management down to a tee. Very well written and exeptionally readable with just the right amount of humor to bring forth the point. Should be in print and on bookstore shelves.

This book is written so even us grunts in the trenches can understand it along with some very good subtle humor. The author definitely understands and recognizes good and less than good management after his many years in the work force. We can all identify with his observations and use the errors of others to become better managers if given the opportunity. Simply put, "Treat others as you would want to treated and never forget your first day on the job." The book is a good buy and well worth both the cost and time to enjoy it.
