Excellent writing and while a wild storym a solid storyline. The book held my attenation and I read it pretty quickly. The ending did remind me of "War of the Worlds." This was the first book I have read from this author and it won't be the last. Nice job.

The quality of the writing is excellent--every sentence solid, every paragraph well-formed. It's a first-rate take on a pretty far out topic--alien invasion. Sometimes it got a little too focused on the characters' thoughts for my tastes, but I will definitely put it at the top of the list of sci fi books I've read in my life.

I did not know what I was getting into with this book, but I loved it. The first half I couldn't put down, but the plot slowed a bit too much for my taste in the end. Still, without spoilers, it is an exciting read and a few great explorations of themes through the course of the character journey. It is worth the free download!
