About Merilyn Dignum

I was born and raised in Adelaide, a city I love, where I still live with my husband and two Great Danes. I've done a bit of travelling but there's no place like home.

I do read a wide variety of genres but my first loves are Fantasy and Science Fiction which is probably why ‘Ties That Bond’ doesn’t quite fit comfortably into either genre yet happily sits in the grey area in between.

Also in Series: Ties That Bond

What an awesome story. This book had something different – not your usual young adult or paranormal book. It’s based in Adelaide – which was a big plus for me living in Adelaide. I really enjoyed Mia and “her boys”. She is a tough cookie with special powers who escaped from the foster home system and was accepted as part of the family by a group of men who were living in hiding. It was interesting to read about this type of existence and how each member of the “family” had something to contribute. Then we meet Nate and things start to change. Nate bought with him a glimpse of a romance side to the story. Overall the book is action packed, unique and well worth the read!

Great read, novel base idea, logical progression, appealing characters -- what's not to like? One of the best books I've read in a long time, and certainly one with a very unique and believable premise
