I enjoyed The Charmer so much I bought this one but sadly it was a disappointment. I think the lives of Wiley and Jayems were better portrayed in The Charmer. More like a book on Wiley's perspective. The end was rather abrupt too. I love The Darkland series but this the least enjoyable.

This is definitely a short story companion to The Charmer... basically a retelling of some scenes from Wiley's perspective. I did enjoy it but it did seem to end a rather random part of The Charmer and so it felt a bit abrupt. Nice to get a new view on things though.

Great book! I loved the different intake from Wiley's point of view.. it tells us readers more about Wiley and the type of person she is, her likes and dislikes. The only thing I didn't like was that it's less detailed than The Charmer and it sort of skips parts in the story... nevertheless good read...

I love this whole series! I downloaded The charmer as a free book and was hooked! I then had to have the whole series! I would have paid more for each book!! Great addition to the charmer!!
