I really enjoyed reading about what Carwyn was up to when he wasn't around Beatrice & Giovanni (Their story is told in the 4 Elemental Mysteries books.) Carwyn was always one of my favorite characters in those books. While I enjoyed B and Gio's stories more, I thought Building from Ashes was a great book, too. I love a good romance with lots of humor sprinkled throughout. Elizabeth Hunter doesn't shrink from darker themes in her books, either. She does a great job of writing fully dimensional characters. I've enjoyed all of Ms. Hunter's books that I've read so far. She's one of the best writers I've come across lately.
