I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dynasty O'Shea, the world is fascinating, the characters are well developed and the storyline keeps you gripped. I have almost nothing bad to say about this book! The only reason I have awarded this book 4 rather than 5 stars (I would have gone for 4.5 if I could) was that I found the book a little difficult to settle down and get into at the very beginning, although this was easily overcome and I'm glad of this as this is a fabulous book. My other minor problem with this book is I found it did tend to skim over a lot of detail. If I could make this book even more fabulous than it already is, I would turn this book (yes just this one entire story) into a series that is at least a trilogy so as to get more detail into the significant events, and some of the needed backstory in!

Whether it was a view of the battle - metal against metal, blood and sweat and fear - or a family squabble behind closed door, I could feel it all. Jack and Rachel are from another dimension called Spassenia where Jack is the crown prince of Gammalon and Rachel is a warrior princess. The O Shea children are surprised at their parents' big secret. Quirky dialogue and the story revolves around a pendant key which Rachel owns. It is this key which serves to open the door between dimensions. The whole family ends up travelling to a new world and getting somewhat lost in it - its like a new version of Chronicles of Narnia!

If you love jewels, a magical kingdom in another dimension, interesting characters, secrets, magic, articulate talking animals, the supernatural and a battle for the ages-- you will love this fanciful read. In 'Dynasty O'Shea,' the children of the in-hiding royal family of Gammalon are struggling to comprehend and believe the secret of their royal heritage... when they are catapulted into another world and an adventure of epic proportions. Filled with fanciful creatures, enchanting flora and fauna, warriors and evil villains who are worthy adversaries, this book is a rich escape from reality and charming read. There is a tiny bit of overt exposition in the narrative, yet the story is quite magical. The author's love of the written word is very evident. Bronwyn is my favorite character. If you love books that are mystical, mythic and dramatic, and enjoy a good family tale and adventure, you will love 'Dynasty O'Shea!'

A Well Written & Captivating Story….Will Make You Salivate for More Fantasy.
When I was first given this book as a gift, I was instantly captivated by its cover. I knew that I was in for a ride. I loved every minute of the plot. Totally exciting, with an healthy amount of twists and turns to keep you going. Often than not, you are given a “so Called fantasy” book to read but this one meets the challenge.
In addition, the mystery hidden in the various plots make for a nice twist… I was totally captivated from the very first page till the end. I want more… I need more… At the risk of giving the story away, I love the various worlds depicted in the story. Oh, how I wished I was in one of the worlds… But then again, the author’s use of language transported me into the worlds. The witch was indeed spooky, the description is just enough to get me on the edge. As depicted by the book cover, Dynasty O'Shea, the Throne of Gammalon is a true Gem in the fantasy world. I look forward to reading a sequel. Bravo! This is truly a keeper. You will enjoy it.

A fantasy of two worlds
Ever wonder what it would be like to live in two words, one being the monotonous every day drivel of school, chores, and homework, and the other a magical world of witches, knights, and magic. Well, author Clarissa Cartharn has done just that. Dynasty O’Shea is a witty combination of wonderfully written characters in a back drop of an enchanting new world filled with supernatural creatures.
The O’Shea’s, a family of unlikely heroes, find themselves in the adventure of a lifetime as they must fight across the lands of Spessenia to save themselves, as well as the kingdom of Gammalon. The younger members of the O’Shea family, who have been practicing the old ways in the art of combat, unknowing that they would someday need them for the magical realm of their birth, Spessenia, are forced to do just that as they fight for not only their father’s life, the king, but also their own.
Dynasty O’Shea is a welcome breath of fresh air with a delightful pace of reading. The pages keep turning and the story keeps getting better. Highly recommended for young adults and older.

Snappy Dialogue, verve and wit!!!
This is a highly imaginative book filled with thrills and spills.
After reading it, I recommended it to my daughters as I was sure they will love it as much as I do.
Some really colorful and interesting characters who I found endearing (ie. Fiesty Goldie, loved her wit:"hailed a few love-filled
abuses at them for waking late" , “I tell you, that manual was possessed...It had a mind off its own and only one thing on its evil mind. Me!” )
Highly recommended and looking forward to the sequel.
Five stars all the way from me!!
