This (fictional) document was found in the walls of the mobile home of a man named Stanley who was a postal worker near Cheboygan, Michigan around the year 1970. It documents his possible descent into madness over the matter of preparing the seeds of a pumpkin.

Excellent descriptions, leading to easy visualization. I was a bit disappointed by the ending, however. Very abrupt, to the point it was almost startling. "Where's the rest"? you're left muttering to yourself.

This is a short story... 5 pages if you read the online option, about a man who wants some pumpkin seeds. That's all. What he gets is a something else.

This is a fun story for Halloween, maybe while sitting around a fire, roasting seeds. It's a quick read, but it will stick with you long after you finish it.

Awesome story! Glad I wasn't carving my pumpkin at the time.
