I have to say that the first thing to capture my attention with this book are the characters. They were written with such character and passion! I thought that all the characters were captivating, sincere and real. The chemistry between Ethan and Jayna was riveting. They were a united front from the moment they met.

Considering that this is the first book in a series, I found that the author was able to establish the characters and attract the attention of her audience with a plot that completely sucks you in. I enjoyed reading about the way Jayna started experimenting with the new found Astral Plane, and her powers to destroy demons. There were incidents throughout the plot line that I found to be very humbling for both the characters and the reader.

I found this book to be one I wasn't able to put down. My attention was quite taken while reading this book and I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
