The author is a practicing architect in the Philippines, and took his Bachelor's and Master's degree in the University of the Philippines. He also taught Architecture in his alma mater for 11 years.
He tries to play golf once a week in whatever course is nearby or wherever he is invited to play by his buddies. While playing golf for 15 years, he has tried to improve in the game only recently. His most recent handicap is 22, with a USGA equivalent of 19.4. According to the Internet, the handicap of the average golfer is 18, so that makes him an almost average golfer.
While he has some writing experience, being the co-editor of a coffee table book meant to commemorate the jubilee anniversary of his professional organization, this is his first book, a compilation of notes which he started about a year ago.
He claims that writing this felt like an itch he had to scratch, having no illusion that he is a competent writer or that this work will be found worth reading by anyone else. He also claims that this book is one of those things that while the book was incomplete he couldn't get away from it, but once it was completed he didn’t want to see one more word of it.
