When a yellow Labrador bounded into her picnic in the park, Kate's life got even more complicated. She almost forgot that you don't always have to do the rescuing alone. More

Lunch in the Park is a deceptively straightforward novel that reels you in and keeps you reading till the end. It chronicles the not-so-straightforward life of its heroine with pitch-perfect dialog exchanges, text message conversations, phone calls, e-mails, and journal entries. The characters are true-to-life and sympathetic (but not too perfect) and never commit that only-in-fiction sin of making utterly stupid decisions that leave a reader throwing the book against the wall. (Particularly laudable here since it's only available electronically.) Buy it, read it, enjoy it, tell a friend.
