About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Kristen Ashley can do no wrong. Loved Raid. The only fault I could find is that this book should of been longer, it was way too short! Can't wait for Kristen's next book!

Raid fit along well in the Unfinished Hero series. Raid is a lot less scary than Knight, and his back story is not as dark as Creed's but it was a wonderful read. It reminded me of Kia and Sam in Heaven and Hell. This is a book for rogues and romantics!

It was not quite the same as the others in the series but KA can write just about anything and I will enjoy it, aside from the super witch book I have and have enjoyed multiple times every single one of her books.

This was a "quiet" book. As I mulled over what I would write for this review, I realised the differences in Ashley's books. The impact of the book varies directly with the personality of the hero. No other author I have read has been able to accomplish this feat.

Raid, was definately an alpha but not a leader. He runs his own life exactly the way he wants, but isn't afraid to allow changes in the plans. The book did not directly involve his work. The focus was on his home life. This provided a more "quiet" story that matched the hero's personality.

It was the perfect way to relate the tale to give the reader a better feel for who Raid was.

Hanna is a cutsy girl who has had a crush on Raid for most our her life. It is a dream's come true kind of book. There is a cost, but she willingly pays it, resulting in warm,or touching or hot hot passion scenes.

Ashley, I believe, willingly sacraficed one star for impact just so that the reader got a true feeling for her hero. I loved Raid in a much different way than readers love her other heros. There is definately room for "quiet". A remarkable book!

I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan and I love her alpha hero's! I loved the story line in Raid and particularly love it when she incorporates other characters from past books so we can reunite with them. The other thing that I think deserves special thanks is when she includes female leads with figure problems and or physical insecurities. That is so very realistic no matter what a women's size , many do not feel they measure up or can't believe a compliment that is sincere......and I have a sweet spot for men who address it and make it ok as in these books.

I truly loved this book. Knight was fab, Creed was ok, Raid was just so damn good. Book had a story, sexy romance, then love. I cut ally cried in the last few chapters, so an emotional read too. Again, loved it. Thank you Kristen

Another success! I have loved every book by Kristen Ashley. I bought this and devoured it in 4 hours, and then started it a second time. My only problem is I wanted it to go on longer!!!
This is not a spoiler, but at the end Kristen talks about how women tend to get down on themselves about their body. This is so true, and so sad. I just wanted to comment on what she wrote, because it rings true to so many of us. What I love about Kristens books is that the women in her books are like most of us. Self conscience about our hips, or belly, or stretch marks, or whatever. We are so worried about fitting into a mold of what we think men want, that we lose sight of the fact that most men are just glad we showed up! Men look at women, just iike women look at men. Some of us like tall men, others short and stocky, some with long hair, some with none. It is all preference. My thought is, find a man who is attracted to what you are, not what you think he wants. I feel sexier at a size 10, than I did at a size 4...and I know my husband likes there is more to grab on to! So all you beautiful women out there, embrace yourselves! And Kristen, keep up the fabulous way you write, it is always a joy to dive into your world!
