Xander's Chance was definitely an amazing read. You will fall in love with the characters in the book especially Xander and Jessi. Xander had a hard childhood, he and his mother was cast out because of what he is. When tragedy strikes Xander is given the choice to live his life as he see fit or take revenge. What happens when someone he trusts tricks him? Jessi is struggling to take care of her cousins Brandon & Ashley. When Ashley ends up in the hospital, Jessi runs into Jonny. Jonny is determined to use Jessi to get what he wants even if he has to threaten her and her famiy. Ashley has to get close to Xander but is Xander what he really seems and is Ashley in over her head. Who can she trust when everyone seems to be testing her?
I love the chemistry between Xander and Jessi and their banter will definitely make you laugh. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read a good paranormal with romance, humor, action, suspense and mystery. However I do recommend this book to 18+. I am really looking forward to reading the next book and future books in the series.

Xander is the ultimate vampire and by that I mean original. In his story we learn of how he was betrayed and how if effects him in current times. Then he meets the woman who will make him trust again and fall in love. This is a wonderful and unique vampire tell that is like no other. It's a must read for anyone who is already in love with the War of God's series.

I must say I am yet again enthralled by Lizzy's style of writing. This story maintain's the theme of the God of War series and gave wonderful insight into the character of Xander who in the Grey God's book seemed almost irredeemable and didn't care about anyone with a hint of depth that made you second guess that impression. I love the complexity of this character and the history that makes him who he is. The story is integrated into the series nic ely yet again including all our old favorites without overshadowing the main love interest. Love it and can't wait to read the next book.
