"Zombies! The Fall of London" is a cute comedy of manners set in 1840's England. The zombie scourge has landed on the shores of England, and unfortunately some members of polite society have a difficult time coming to grips with the true danger posed by these unmentionables. Fortunately for God, King, and Country, there are a few stalwart members with a lick of sensibility, notably Captains Franklin and Perry. This is a fun read for those that enjoy British humor with a side offering of zombies.

As a faithful fan of all those stories related with the nineteenth century polar expeditions and also as a fan of the fiction novels, I can say without risk of being wrong, that I´ve found in this book a wonderful mixture which joins several things with I use to appreciate. These are: a sharp, malicious and witty black humour, an elegant sense of writting able to transform horrid and improbable situations into a vivid breeze of amusing reality, accurate historic remarks, a splendid description of the characters which allows you to believe in them, and above all, some near-surrealistic and grotesque situations which made me fall of the armchair to the floor laughing in loud voice.
