Reviews of Copper Centurion by Daniel Ottalini

Stephen Meyer reviewed on Aug. 24, 2013

This is the second book in Mr. Ottalini's "Brass Legionnaire" series. I had the opportunity to Kickstart the first book, but I missed out on this one. Even though the first book was not perfect, I did find it to be entertaining, which helped me decide to buy "Copper Centurion" for the relatively inexpensive price of $3.99.

When I first started to read this book I was expected the same level of quality found in the author's previous work. However, I was blown away by the improvement of the author's writing, his ability to create suspense, and his attention to detail. The first book was entertaining, but "Copper Legionnaire" was a HUGE improvement. It wasn't perfect (in my standards) but I don't expect a perfect book for $3.99. For the price, this book definitely has an A+ from me and I would been satisfied with the quality even if it cost $10.00.
It was very exciting to me to see the author's growth in this book and his ability to write an exciting and captivating story. Mr. Ottalini included some amazing fight scenes, an interesting love interest, and many action packed situations which left me on the edge of my seat. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

WARNING: You should read the first book "Brass Legionnaire" before reading "Copper Centurion". (my opinion at least!).
