The Approach, Wunder #1 by A.R. Von
3 1/2 stars
I was drawn into this story. As a continuation from the prequel I was able to quickly follow where the story was going and understand how and why things quickly evolved with Wunder and Pete. I was not expecting the twist at the end, but I liked it and want to see where it goes next!
The only part that I struggled with (even having read the prequel) was just how fast paced things were. I understand this part of the story was short, and had no problem at all with that. It just felt a bit rushed. Make no mistake I like the story and the characters!

This was one of those stories that I really didn’t know what was to come by the title alone. I had so many things running through my mind based on the title alone! This is a very short story, coming in at 19 pages, so I decided to find out exactly what it was all about so I began to read…
It starts out with a prologue that introduces the reader to a world of zombies and those that are trying to survive. It’s told from the perspective of a girl who is telling the story of her mother and father. As it goes on, it sets up the opening of the story perfectly. You get to follow Wunder, the main character, through a short, but fun and quite steamy, adventure that builds neatly up to a planned follow up that you will seriously be begging for.
At a few points in the story it is a tiny bit rushed but and I repeat that big butt (and refrain from singing about big “buts” and hope that you are right now just because that would make me giggle) not enough to take away from this brilliantly fun and totally unique short story. It’s hard to write a short story that makes this much sense, has a new concept, keeps the action going, has an incredibly hot make-you-blush-a-bit love scene or two, and zombies to boot keeping it all under 20 pages but here it was done and it was done wonderfully.
Ah, if you thought you were getting more than that about story, characters, and plot, you’ve never read any of my other reviews! I don’t give the story away. That would just be silly and ruin it for you. You only get the basics and told that you need to go get your own copy and read it for yourself! Get it, it’s a great fun read. I really enjoyed it and I am on the edge of my seat waiting on the next installment to find out what happens. What a cliffhanger to leave it at!! I can’t wait!
