Puddicombe's work, "Last Rites" is a short, but memorable experience. It hits home for me, a young man who had all too many funerals in his life so far. It made me stop and actually flashback to them - while I was at the funerals, and how I flashbacked then! To be able to create dynamic characters in less that 5K words is great. Especially the grandmother! :)
