I think that the author Sara Mack did a great job in developing the main characters in the book. I like that we are given background about the characters and the relationships that they have with one another. We get to understand the relationship that Emma and James developed over all the years they had been growing in their relationship. We can understand but not agree with the guilt she feels with the major loss of her love. We see the struggles that everyone effected by the loss of James goes through and the choses that are made. I can't wait to see where the story in the second book will take us. An awesome book to read.
