The Kramski Case

Rated 4.83/5 based on 6 reviews
The gunning down of newspaper photographers in three different countries looks at first like someone just doesn't like paparazzi. Then again, who does?
But when the British Home Secretary asks Interpol to assemble an investigative team, suddenly an abyss ten miles deep opens up.
Astonishingly, it's nothing to do with celebrities. It's all to do with global power-shifting.
And not in a good way. More

About J.J. Ward

J.J Ward lives and works in southern England and has been married for 33 years. He has two grown-up boys and a dog called Arthur Perrins. His hobbies include walking in the countryside, drinking tea in unusual locations, photography, and reading.

His favourite contemporary writers are Jonathan Franzen, Jennifer Egan and Magnus Mills, but mostly he thinks the novel has been damaged by the dominance of literary fiction. "On TV, we've become used to the idea of multifaceted genre narratives - The Killing, for example, The Wire, or Spiral - but novel-writers are expected to save depth and complexity mainly for Pulitzer-friendly undertakings. The intricacy of The Corrections, Middlesex and 1Q84 - of theme, characterisation and plot - now needs importing into thrillers and romances."

Intriguing book, not the normal book I would read but it was recommended by a friend so I took a chance and it paid off and shows you should always keep the mind open. The story is well paced with some great characters from a mixture of backgrounds that creates some great dialogue, adding depth to the characters as they look to solve the intrigue.
Five stars from me

The Kramski Case is a book of suspense and espionage in the world of politics. The beginning starts with the assassination of paparazzi in three different countries. They must find the culprit. Once you get into the story you will have a hard time putting it down. The characters are great. Talented author. This is a thrilling story that will keep you on your toes.

I will be honest, this book was a bit hard for me to get into. I think it was the technical terminology that did that. Once I got past that though the book was really good. Yes there where some minor editing flaws but that didn't bother me. The characters where really strong and came to life for me. The story is actually really well written too. I know a lot of people compared it to the Bond series and in a way I guess it was but me being much younger then those who watched all the original bond I thought more Dan Brown. It's hard to describe a book like this without giving anything away. You can read the other reviews and know the basic three men investigating team looking into who is killing paparazzi. What they don't tell you is how fast this book moves, it's got a take charge woman, three men who could have all been the star of the book but share the spot light. It's hard to choose a favorite among the MC because they are all so well written. This is the first Book I have read by JJ Ward but I plan on buying the others. Yes like many others who stated in their reviews, I think if it was turned into a movie script it would be wildly successful.

Espionage stories are my absolute favorite ones and that's why when a friend of mine has recommended 'The Kramski Case' by J.J. Ward to me I was super excited! It sounded like the book will be great and indeed it was. Great characters, dialogues and full of action - this is exactly what I was hoping for... The author's writing style is very natural and pulled me into the story in the first few minutes - I've finished the book the day I got it. 5 stars from me!

From young, I always love to read thrillers and spy related stories. They have always amazed me with their surprise endings and this book is no exception. I love the way the author, JJ Ward is able to keep me guessing on how this novel will ends. .

The story starts with how paparazzi were being murdered in a few countries, and an elite task force was formed with 3 guys from 3 different countries - a young British policeman, a New York detective and lastly a Russian agent. With such diverse backgrounds, they formed an dynamic team which makes the story very entertaining. You will certainly enjoy reading it from start to end as the story unfolds. I certainly did as I stayed up the night to finish it.
Certainly hope that a new book from JJWard will be released soon.
