I keep saying it, but Alex is one of my all-time favorite characters. I say that because I could read his snappy, sarcastic dialogue all day long. It is a special talent of Krumbine's writing that keeps me coming back for more Alex every time. This book is more of the same, which is great. Lots of goofy dialogue, bombs and blow ups, and this time Alex and Christian working side by side trying to chase down the bad guy. Never thought that would happen, but the two of them play off each other really well as characters and the chase scenes are hilarious. There is nothing not to love about this book. Like reading a comic book without the pictures, but the pictures Krumbine's story triggers in your mind are probably way more interesting than any illustrator could have come up with.
