About Cecilia Robert

I write YA, NA and Adult. My motto: Passion rules. I enjoy writing stories about people finding love in the most unexpected of places, and also about people finding their true purpose in life coupled with adventurous journeys, whether it's urban, fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary or paranormal romance. There's always a happy ever after, no matter how long it takes for the characters to get there. When I'm not working in my full time job, I don my supermom cape, or in most cases find myself trapped between the pages of a book in search for a hero who'll make me swoon with just a look or a word. My favourite form of therapy is knitting. Best. Therapy. Ever.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)
This is the first book I've read by this author and I'm not at all disappointed.
The usual book I go for is about werewolves or vampires however that said I think I've been missing out!
I really enjoyed this book along with its characters especially levian, he's so dominant and strong yet has a vulnerability about him. His love for sera is unconditional and regardless of what a prat his brother is he remains loyal and forgiving of him.
For a short book it had plenty of detail and just enough action. From the moment I downloaded it I found it impossible to put down and finished it in a matter of hours.
If you a fan of shifter books then I do recommend this book.
Looking forward to the next book!

Why did it have to end so soon!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the group Lovers of Paranormal.

A great book that captured me from beginning to end and i can't wait for the next one :)

The great bond between Sera and Levian feels so real. But i really love Levian's jalousy. Very recognisable for me. And they way Sera is a great warrior and a really strong woman was also very vivid in this book.
A definite must read for paranormal fans!!

I received this book from the Author and Lovers of Paranormal (LOP) at Goodreads.com for an honest review.
I wasn't too sure what to expect from this book and let me say this much, I was astonished and definitely not disappointed. When I read the synopsis I was intrigued as I read the words "newly mated" and "bonded bed" and couldn't wait to dive into what it would be all about - needless to say I was dead wrong. The story took me into a new world I hadn't step into before and was instantly drawn to all the characters and could see them truly being part of a family. I mean, whose family doesn't have a cad like Tegue, or an all round nice guy like Uriel. I definitely "bonded" with Levian and Sera. The intensity Levian felt for his mate was so strong you were instantly drawn to his peril. The fact that Sera was strong enough to do what she thought was the right thing to do, for herself, her family, her child and her mate was so heart wrenching! The story was fast paced, with exciting turns on every page. I only have abundant applause for the author and cannot wait for the next instalment.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the flow and pace of the story. I think a little more explanation of why the earth was uninhabitable since a plague would just kill off the humans and not affect the geography. Also more background on the portals and earthside shifters would have helped cement the realism of the world they inhabit. There was a lot of build up regarding her fighting in the ring, but the actual fight sequence was barely touched on. I liked the subplot with the journals, but I kept expecting more since they were so valuable and dangerous in the wrong hands. Alot of loose ends that will probably be addressed in a full length novel. However, the characters were fully developed and it was a fun read. My curiousity is peaked and I look forward to future adventures.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review, Lovers of Paranormal.

A slight difference on the usual shifter stories as everything to do with their animal sides was internalised, verbally. Their inner dialogues made interesting reading :-) I like the bonding/mating aspect of shifters and this was very strong in this story. A true love story.

There almost seemed two story lines in this book. We had Sera and Lev and their history and possible future. We also had the history of their world and the talents of the humans that had been saved from a destroyed earth. I would love this book to have been longer so some of the background could have been explored further. I would also love to know more about Uriel, the talented human with a beautiful personality.

The dynamics between the characters were interesting and the personalities were clear and convincing. The plot moved along nicely and the only downside was the length of the book.

As this book is numbered 0.5 I'm hoping there is much more to come!
