The author really knows a lot about the inner workings of the Vatican and the Catholic church. I'm surprised nobody has written a story like this before, putting Vampires in the Vatican. The ever-present contrast between the detective, the priests and the bloodsuckers makes for some great suspense, surprises and action.

An excellent mystery that had me hooked from the beginning. I like the Inspector, he does what is necessary to get the job done.
He hunts out the vampires in the Vatican even though they are trying to kill him. They do manage to kill a few others along the way.
Bodies keep turning up (and body parts) but it's not written in a gruesome way, very realistic.
A believable story that I enjoyed all the way to the end.

I agree. This story flows nicely and didn't get boring at any time.
I like the Inspector, he gets the job done one way or another.
I like his analysis of different murders and how he works it all out in the end.
I laughed at the lemons part and felt very sad when some one close to him was killed.
Easy to read and follow.

I have to agree with the other reviewers, it's a great story. The Inspector is an interesting guy that just wants to get the job done. I didn't find it slow at the beginning, it jumped straight into the first five murders. I like the way the Inspector handles things as the story moves along. Easy to read with no bog down which is what I like. Great story and a few surprises and shocks. Very funny in parts and serious in others.
I recommend this read.
