If you like vikings / game of thrones and poetry you'll like these poems. They are set in that time period and are all about barbarians fighting and drinking mead, hanging out in castles, going on quests.

Glad I stumbled across this book of poems. I agree with the other reviewers, the author has taken the time to craft these poems and they are well worth a read. Very much enjoyed.

This is actually a dam good collection of poetry. I'm amazed it's free on Smashwords when it really should be published and on the shelves in bookstores. Made me think of Game of Thrones and The Hobbit and Medieval Literature all rolled into one.

Rich with details and rhymed to perfection. Each poem is an amazing tale of adventure of its own. Really well done!

This is a rare gem among the free books of poetry. Every one written with great images and lots of rhyming couplets. It reminded me of Medieval literature I read in college. Brought to mind many tales of the Knights of the Round Table, Norse Vikings, Romance of the Rose, El Sid. The tales told and images evoked spoke of great battles, heroic journeys, epic defeats, love affairs, mythical beasts and feasting with vikings / knights.

Another great book of epic poems by Gary Mark Lee. If you like Medieval tales of knights, Norsemen, dragons, serpents, quests, battles, all told in heroic rhymes, then this is the book of poems for you.

Have you ever found a book to possess a certain... flavour?

Well, this series of poems certainly has one. A smokey, dusty, crisp sort of taste that lingers in your mouth, all the while speaking volumes of the worlds each seperate tale takes place.

Fully immersive, and easy to fall into. After finishing this, you'll wish for more opportunities to curl up in your sheepskin blankets, stoke the fire, and drink mead. They are, unfortunately, too few and far between.

I'm a big fan of the pulp writer Robert E. Howard and I have to say that this little book would have made him very happy, action and adventure is in every line and I hope that the author will do more books like this one.

I just got Gary's new book, love it! once again I was taken away by the fantasy and the adventure in the words, it's a small book but as far as I'm concerned it was fill to the brim with wonderful tails and a vivid landscape.

I hope there will be more books to come!
