T.M. Royster's debut novel is a well-crafted, suspenseful tale. Her heroine, Josie Cannon, is real and believable, struggling to solve the mystery surrounding the death of a young friend's husband. At the same time her marriage undergoes pressures – as all marriages do. With skillful pen and a clear-sighted understanding of human nature, T.M. Royster shows how gossip blows things out of proportion and becomes slander. She also illustrates the ease with which we can be led astray by seductive ideas, only to discover the falseness and danger of self-deception. The warning to stay strong in the Word and God’s whole truth is clear without being preachy. The storyline is excellent and the plot will keep you turning the pages in anticipation of what will come next. A satisfying read, the surprise ending is a pleasing conclusion.

Kept me on the edge, wanting more right up to the end which surprised me.
This book is a must read as it is a very plausible story for anyone. We must all be on our toes for the enemy.

I could not put this book down. As I read, I caught myself examining my own character. Would I have been deceived?
I also learned a lot about how God uses His church body to discern evil. This is a suspenseful page turner with an unexpected twist at the end. A must have for every Christian's library. Very well written.
