Reviews of Private Practice Preparedness - The Health Care Professional's Guide to Closing a Practice Due to Retirement, Death, or Disability by Rob Reinhardt, LPCS, M.Ed., NCC & Anne M. "Nancy" Wheeler

If you are looking for a wake-up call to your adulthood - authors Wheeler and Reinhardt have just the book for you. From the moment I began this information packed ebook my self talk began an approach-avoidance mantra of; “I never thought of that” - “Ugh...this is uncomfortable” - “They are right…I can't leave things to chance.” Filled with practical suggestions, this book will help you lay out a smooth and orderly transition to retirement. And as important as that is, the real value of this book comes from the realization that I have an opportunity now to take steps that could save my wife and children all manner of angst in the event of my untimely death. Finally, and perhaps of greatest importance…I realized that I want my commitment to aspirational ethics to continue even after my death. Putting in place the suggestions in this book is the responsible thing for me to do in order to serve the best interests of my clients.
So…put on your adult boots - read the book - and put the ideas into practice.

Rob Reinhardt and Nancy Wheeler are both well-known experts on legal and ethical topics in mental health, and this book is exemplary of their expertise and knowledge. The book covers not only the ethical requirements and mandates but provides detailed information about how to respond to those requirements and provides forms to assist in doing so. I highly recommend this book for any mental health clinician in private practice.
