Review by: Robert A Webster on June 14, 2015 :
A gripping supernatural thriller. Extreme Prejudice - Imogene’s Message, is excellently written. It is very descriptive with an original and powerful tale. The characters are faultlessly portrayed and the descriptions of the quaint English settings make it easy to imagine with a feeling of being there.
However, it is difficult to pin this novel down to a few genres as it has everything. It is a good old-fashioned ghost story set in modern times with a twist. Based around the Pembroke family, it has conflicts between good and evil, supernatural powers, angels, demons, witches, the spirit world, detectives and crime, a mystery, and a thriller with a bit of philosophy thrown in. It sends a clear message to our modern day society:
“Nature takes only what it needs. If it takes more, it dies off. Mankind has become greedy. Each individual should let go of self-interest and greed, and share with the under-privileged.”
Any thought provoking book is a great book...right. Imogene’s message is action packed with many surprises and new and interesting characters added along the way. It is engaging throughout. Fortunately, the story leads on nicely for a sequel.
I can highly recommend this novel. Christine Sherborne is certainly a creative author to watch out for and I will definitely read more from her.

This novel captivates the reader from the very beginning. It is so explicit, not leaving out any gruesome details. The author has incorporated her spiritual and paranormal knowledge to express and describe every detailed event throughout. It is a most enlightening novel covering extremism to its max. Exciting and thrilling read, cannot wait for the next episode, I have recommended this novel to my colleagues.

Review by: Wes To on May 20, 2014 :
Imogene’s Message weaves elements of paranormal, fantasy, and even religious conspiracy stories into a well-told, well-written dramatic thriller. The book does not shy away from the brutal events of the story, nor in its depiction of the cruelty humanity is capable of, but instead shines a light on them to reveal every facet, and to show every ripple the events cause in the lives of the characters. The result is a fleshed-out, believable world with characters whom you can detest, whom you can empathize with, and whom you could even care for. A believable world with relatable/realistic characters is the most you can ask of any drama, and Imogene’s Message delivers in spades.

Review by: Amelie Rose on May 16, 2014 :
A tale of light and dark, good and evil, with one woman pitted against the (very) bad guys. With the Avebury stones at the heart of the story the writer weaves a tale that is not quite a crossover but has similar para-normal elements and keeps you on the edge of your seat. A nail biting tale by an emerging author and I hear a sequel is in the making. Definitely a writer to watch.

Review by: Cailin Koy on May 16, 2014 :
Imogene's Message is an extraordinarily well-written paranormal-influenced thriller that keeps readers compelled through an interesting, rich setting full of deep characters.

Though this book isn't officially fantasy, the well-woven spellbinding cast of this book definitely smacks of it through their earthy, historical and magical focus. But the story grows bigger than their village and begins to involve the fate of mankind. You won't be able to put this book down.
