About JD Nixon

I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books:

The Heller series (first book Heller - free!) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer, Tilly Chalmers, and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss, Heller. There will be seven books in total in this series.

The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties - free!) features police officer, Tess Fuller, and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. There will be five books in total in this series.

My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break???

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com

Once again a book written so beautifully, Congratulations JDN! I loved every twist and turn of Tess's life. As I've read all the previous books of this series, I was always fearful in my mind about something horrible happening to her only family, but the way it is written makes it looking like some personal loss of all the readers, and this is the magic of a wonderful author like JDN. We all deserve happiness but how difficult it is for some people to retain it, is visible here superbly. Kudos to JDN!!

It is a perfect continuation of a wonderful series. Without ruining the tale, many things are progressing very nicely. I've been in love with the series from the very first book, and though the intensity usually can be expected to fade in continued treatments of the same characters and same environments, the familiatrity with these elements is an added pleasure, as JD has a way of keeping them fresh. Congratulations, JD Nixon! You did it right...AGAIN!!!

OMG....this book had me from the first page and kept me riveted until the last. The twists and turns, the not so happy return of Sarge and Trev's final days. It was a roller coaster ride of emotion with things erupting at the end. If you haven't read this series, read it! It is so good and it will have you looking for more!

It is amazing how some books can draw us in until our world goes away. Every book that JD Nixon writes does that for me and Blood Tears was probably the best of all.
Tessie has felt trapped ever since she was forced to move back home to care for her ailing father. The malevolence of Little Town’s Bycraft family hangs over the whole town, but their ongoing battle against Tessie and her family her whole life has filled her existence with physical and emotional pain. For a while she felt she had some support in her fight against them in her sergeant Finn McGuire, but as this book begins he has been out of town for months and during that time the battle has escalated. The buildup of Tessie’s anger and frustration at feeling alone and helpless to control the situation is paralleled with the increasing aggression of the Brycrafts. To Tessie the town feels as if it is about to explode.
