Not in My Job Description

Rated 4.50/5 based on 8 reviews
After seven years of nothing too exciting happening in the office, Avery Clavens is forced to go undercover with an agent she's pretty sure speaks the English language as interpreted by Martians. Can the two of them stop arguing long enough to get their man? Avery doesn't know, but dealing with Agent Barnes definitely isn't in her job description. More

About Amber Lynn

I love books. Until recently, I kept to just reading them, but ideas for characters and scenes took control of my mind and made me have to get those ideas down. I have been writing for about a year and have really enjoyed working out the process of taking my ideas and forming new worlds for others to enjoy.

This whole writing thing is still a hobby for me. I sit down on weeknights and weekends and just float over to my other worlds for a while. Other hobbies of mine include: drawing, baking, arts and crafts, motorcycles, hockey, and archery. I like to think I have eclectic tastes where my hobbies are concerned. I love to laugh and try to at least make myself smile once a day. With the crazy thoughts going on in my head that usually isn't hard.

Love the humor throughout the book and the characters are great. Good story lines just a few too many typos and at times a bit too much detail, but overall I enjoyed this book. Will definitely be reading others.

Although I liked the story and the relationship between Avery and Nate, I hated the long, page filling details of every meal Avery prepared.
This almost turned into a cook book!

Loved it! It's fast paced, witty, entertaining; the plot is interesting, the characters so different you have to wonder how they interact on a daily bases and get the job done and yet there is enough of a mystery left to get you hooked and waiting for the sequel.
Avery is quirky, funny, smart and utterly loveable character and it's been a pleasure getting to know her in this book. I did at times find her a bit too naive and/or clueless, but overall - I really did love her. And don't get me started on Nate! They really are perfect together, both on and off the job.
The only objection is concerning the typos and some phrasing, but other than that it really is an enjoyable read.
