S. A. Hunter's Scary Mary series is still running strong. The characters are still alive and wonderful, the stories still fresh and imaginative. I hope she can keep it up forever. This is another wonderful book.
It felt shorter than the others. I'm not sure if it is shorter, or I just got so into it that I read it quicker.
Old characters return and new ones join the cast, including some of Mary's relatives. It looks to be an interesting family.
The story takes Mary out of school and on location at an actual haunted house. It gives usual antagonist, Vicky, most of the book off , I assume to recharge her B**** powers to be extra strong in book five.
I really can't wait for book 5!
The only reason this isn't getting five stars is because of the editing. I subscribe to her newsletter and know that she went without outside editing to get it out on time. The book shows it (my favorite is some lines that are actually crossed out!).
This is a great book, but if you're a stickler for grammar, wait until the edited version comes out. There are a few areas that I had to reread to figure out what was meant due to missing words and odd phrasing.
