I always love apocalyptic stories that have an understated feel to them, where basically, it's a nice and normal day and then the world ends. That's probably how it would happen, after all.

This story has the feel of something written by a scientist, which really makes all the difference. The list-like writing style helps get that across, and the author uses a lot of authentic terminology that gives the story an air of authenticity that I appreciated. Talk about the world ending with a bang and a whimper!
