A speculative tale of humanity as an interstellar race of vagabonds. The imagery was wonderfully exotic yet entirely believable. The science of the fiction was well researched and explained but never to the point of being distracting. The human and alien races were shown as if real: natural and unassuming in their ways. The word "said" was overused to denote who was speaking, but regardless, I loved reading the dialog of every character, main or otherwise. The situations were dramatic and the battles intense. The narrative was varied but flowed and meshed smoothly and perfectly. This novel was a very fun read and I empathized with every character.
