Just Brilliant! Ryllandra has an incredible talent with words and how to use them to make you feel exactly how the heroine in this story feels. This book made me want to help Patricia, our heroine, to get the acknowledgement and acceptance you feel she has craved her entire life. I never had a story make me want to stand up and yell at a character as much as I wanted to when I read about the snooty, uppity Gerald, and I practically cheered out loud when Patricia gets her one small, but powerful, moment to put him in his place. I could also feel the longing between Sam and Patricia and I hope the story continues somehow as I would love to know what happens next in the friendship between these two characters. This book so elegantly written that you are easily drawn in and connecting to the emotions of the character like an old favourite movie can do on a rainy day when you miss someone you love and care about. This is a must read for anyone that loves a thought provoking book that you can connect to on a personal level. For me a great book always leaves me wanting more, and I wanted more at the end of this story, so much so that for days I kept thinking of what could happen next. To be honest, I just loved this story so much that I read it multiple times. I am looking forward to reading more of Ryllandra’s books because she definitely establishes herself as one of the top writers of today with this piece of art called The Journey Home.
