It felt like the kids and I waited forever for this book to come out! My daughter and her best friend compare the Purrtectors to the Warrior's cat series. I have not read that one but they love it.
I appreciate how the author always manages to touch on subjects in a round about fashion. While offering good advice/ life lessons and a dash of education.
My son loved the snake bird things in the book... while I admit they gave me the creeps.
This book has a little of everything in it alchemy, vooddoo, witchcraft, mad scientists, creepy crawlies, comedy, and so on.
If you want an unexpected adventure that will keep you guessing up until the last moments that is family friendly (ahhh or just an adult fun read).. this is worth a read.
