About AJ Adams

Enter into the violent world of the Cartel, Camorra, Belial's MC and Prydain where death and romance go hand in hand. AJ Adams novels are all self-standing and although some feature the same families, you need not read them all - although it would be awesome if you did!

This book is fan-freaking-tastic & the first I've ever read by this amazing author, but it won't be the last :D ... Riveting, action packed drama with romantic suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat & the pages turning! ... Once I started reading, I did not want to put it down! ... An awesome, unique story-line that has well defined characters & keeps the reader engaged with plenty of twists & turns! ... I also love the very entertaining 'wit' that shines through, obviously from the author ;) I highly recommend this to any 18+ Adult fans of fiction :D

My biggest complaint with so much of the fiction in this category is that the characters are one-dimensional, trite, predictable clichés. Then I started reading AJ Adams. Hallelujah! Her characters have quirks, foibles, touching strengths and, best of all, senses of humour. And they're great in bed, too!

AJ Adams clearly does her research -- details about terrorist group mentality, weapons and even Arabic profanity give her oodles of credibility and make Deliverance a book you can sink your teeth into, a story with substance.

I had never been much of a fiction reader, much less adult action-adventure-erotica, but "Deliverance" opened up my eyes to this genre, thanks to this author's fast-paced, gritty and humorous writing style. If I were to nit-pick, I'd find some bits of this novel unrealistic -- Pepper's astounding progress from starved human trafficking victim to an able combatant, for instance, or her ability to point out that her feelings towards her erstwhile captors were due to Stockholm Syndrome, but nitpickers never have fun, do they? And that's what this book is -- a rollicking fun ride.

Wow! What a story. I could feel like I was right there. Watching it on big screen.
This had everything..action,suspense,romance,sex,killing and a hero who is also a bad guy, in a way. I believe this was as close as I will ever read about the reality of war and the toll it takes on innocent people.
I loved the two characters,Mac and Pepper. They really went well together. I am not a fan of this genre but I think I will check out A.J.Adams other books. Although at times I did get bored when the author was describing the scenery too much.
I never knew who the bad guy was or what job Mac had. I know that killing is wrong but this is some I didn't feel bad about.
I highly recommend this book.

This book was SO FECKIN’ GOOD!!!! Wowza, wowza, wowza! This book is about so much more than a broken woman who needs help. Mac is brilliant at what he does, as I read the book I was gob-smacked at the way he thinks and plans. Makes me wonder about the military, but honestly, I don’t want to know! Pepper is so horribly broken when she gets to Mac and with everything else he has going on, it’s a wonder he doesn’t break. Anyway, this book has it all, healing, strong people, 10 different languages (keep the glossary at the beginning handy). It is just phrases here and there, but know what insults are being thrown around is nice. Humor, gore and sex, hot, steamy sex. Basically, if you like darkish, yet wonderful reads I highly recommend this book. 5 stars with 4 hands down the pants!!

Another amazing book by AJ. Love the different aspects in the story. From the heroine who needs saving to the unconventional hero of the book who needs some saving to, all the characters will pull you in deeper and deeper.

Each chapter brings more twists and turns and before you know it you have read the entire book. The detail in the dialogue and the locations has you feeling a part of the story. If you are even still doubting whether to buy this, just buy it. You will not regret it and will be wanting to share it with others, just like the authors other works.

Wow! AJ has done it again. This is her fourth book, and all of them seem to follow this basic theme: a young woman finds herself in deep deep trouble, and a strong alpha male comes along at just the right time to save her from whatever mess she's gotten herself into.

The thing that makes her books different, is that the men in these books are never knights in shining armor. In fact, they can be quite evil men, drug cartel leaders, enforcers, etc. And the women are usually not angels either. But they all do have an internal code of honor, a code that guides them, and that they'd never break.

Deliverance does not stray too far from this theme, but it does in a few key areas. For one, Mac does not work for the drug cartels, and he is basically a good guy, although he's not afraid to do what's necessary to secure his mission. He's a British ex-military man, going undercover to root out terrorists in the Middle East. And Pepper is basically a complete and total victim, at least at the beginning. She has been kept as a sex slave ever since she was a child, she hardly knows anything else.

The relationship that builds between these two is wonderful to behold. I love the patience and kindness Mac has with Pepper. At first Pepper is confused by this, as all she's ever known from men is pain and suffering. She hardly knows how to handle his kindness to her, thinking another shoe is sure to drop at any moment.

But slowly, he earns her trust, and slowly she begins to realize he's different from other men. They grow stronger together. And when Mac goes off to the Middle East, Pepper goes with him.

The book is more than a romance between them, although it is certainly that, but it's also an exciting novel about military men, terrorist scum, and Middle East politics. It's explosive. It's sexy. It's exciting. What more could you ever want in a book? It's also a standalone novel, so no sequel to wait for.

What are you waiting for? Go get this book now! I promise you won't regret it.

I just discovered this author by accident. Wowowow! Fantastic! It's hard to describe because it's violent but not really, dark but not really. I loved Pepper. A real heroine! And Mac is swoonworthy. Read it!

What a story! Once again A. J. Adams has created characters that are not necessarily living good lives but they are people you hope will end up having a good life together. Mac is ex-SAS who has deprogrammed people in the past; Pepper is a woman who became a sex slave as a child and is in great need of deprogramming. Both Mac and Pepper are on the verge of becoming overwhelmed by their lives and both are also in need of something they have not yet found. This is a story that is difficult to describe. In the story both Mac and Pepper grow and become more through the time together they spend together. This book has sex, violence and adventure and is not one for readers who want a sugary sweet romance. It will make you think and care and hope for the best right up till the last page. I kind of wonder what Mac and Pepper might get up to if a series of books were written about them.

I feel like I've been quick-stepped through the desert on a training run and blown away by a gorgeous, sweet, kick ass Scotsman.

Lordy, what a story. Full of excitement, sex, and sand.

I contemplate knocking off half a star for the bits that lost me. Mostly the bad guys plotting political intrigue, and the sometimes lengthy backstory tangents. Those elements are necessary to the story, I guess, which is why I'm not thinking of knocking off a whole star, but at times I did roll my eyes and sigh, wishing to get back to the action.

I realize I'm going to contradict the above statement here, but all that backstory helped to really understand Pepper, and then watching her transformation...I hardly had to suspend my disbelief that she could turn around 'so quickly'.

These characters were well developed and loveable. Larger than life in some ways, but I was rooting for them the whole way.

It would be pretty hard to say much more without spoilers all over the place. Suffice to say READ DELIVERANCE! You won't be sorry!
