Another entertaining fantasy story from Edward K Ryan, one of the best short story writers I've come across on Smashwords.

Devoc, the old, blind shaman ditches his younger guides who still have their eyes. Why? Perhaps he sees something they don't.

A nice quick read about fate and compassion and purposefulness. Ryan writes quality fantasy fiction, and
Ghosts of Kiranon is a fine example.
