It's not long, but it's very good. A retired cop reluctantly does a good deed and takes out the bad guys in the process. The pace is good, the plot is believable and editing is good. Character development brings the characters to life and I felt a tie to the lead character. What more do you need. I hope to see sequels to this story.

VERY ENTERTAINING READ AND BEGGING FOR A SEQUEL!! I love a good, well written story with twists and dead-end sidelines woven in and yet still keeping the characters connected. The two voices of the story weave the edgy, seamy side of San Francisco with the everyday - understating the violence, sex, and drugs with just the right contrast. If you live or know San Franacisco the streets and buildings are easily recognizable and make the story even more fun. Looking forward to more works by this author.
