The Burden of Trust is a story that will push past your boundaries and invade your senses. It will make you feel every single word and appreciate all of the wonderful things in you have in your life. Just when you think you have this story pegged, it will twist and turn and take you on a wild ride that you never saw coming. Whatever you do, don’t take people in your for granted. Appreciate each of them for who they are and the impact they make on your life. While no one can ever be replaced, don’t push someone away for fear of forgetting something else. Allow them to permeate your soul and bring the warmth and light of love into your heart which was made to receive and give it.

Kate has a past that she had tried very hard to get past. While she treasures her memories more than life itself, she can’t allow them to pull her back under their oppressive tide of regret and pain. When she unexpectedly meets a man name Chris Cody, she is taken completely by surprise and left off-kilter. She doesn’t know what to do with someone just wanting a taste of real life after years of being brainwashed in Hollywood. Over time, they form a friendship that begins to weaken the rock hard walls built around her heart. Will Kate and Chris both allow themselves to truly feel and live again, or will they continue to live within the shell of a life that they have constructed to carefully protect their heart?

While this isn't the genre that I would normally read, it was a story that touched me very deeply. The storyline was very intense and riveting. Even though I wasn't personally able to finish reading the entire story due to its intensity, I am sure that others will find it completely captivating and delightfully compelling.

Tabitha Dye is an author that you want to keep an eye on. She has a lot to offer, and she is only getting warmed up. Her talent is like a blossoming flower that you don’t want to let eyes off as it blooms into something beautifully rare and absolutely exceptional. Her crafting tool is her very being and the ink she uses is the very blood that runs within her heart. Don’t overlook this author as she spreads her wings and graces us with the most precious gifts of her soul.

This is such a great story, with a fantastic take on love, friendship, and family. I really enjoyed the honesty of the main character's feelings, and although I normally struggle a bit with omniscient narrators, I think it works perfectly for this story, as it really gives the reader an honest view of how people outside the two main characters are really reacting on the inside.

Reading this story was such a great reminder to me that there are so many different kinds of love: love for our friends, love for our family, love for our children, for our significant others, and on and on. And that love can take on a different appearance in each relationship: friends holding hands, family members showing tough love, special activities for the children in our lives...but most of all, in ALL relationships, that love comes in the form of forgiveness when someone we love hurts us, or we hurt them.

I normally don't read this type of genre, however this book was intriguing. Seeing Kate and Chris' story develop was amazing. It had a really good twist that I didn't see coming! Everyone should read this book! Life is too short!

This is a great story about true love, true friendship and family. Kate lost her wife and then she meets Chris, a movie star, is it romance or is it friendship? Will Kate survive everything she's put through or will this finally be her ending?

Tabitha Dye is a new to me author. She is one I will read again. I look forward to her future works.

I have received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

To get right down to brass tax, this is not something I would normally read. It's kind of out of my "genre" so to say. However, I did find this a rather intriguing read and had to follow it through to the end to find out where everything would lead. Kate is one conflicted individual and with good reason. Some of those reasons are hidden until you get well into the book. At that point you do start wondering what exactly the big secret is that she's hiding, and it's a doozy. But then again, she was in a rough place and had little choice. Then years later she is still coping with losing Kerri and their baby when Chris Cody strolls into her life quite forcefully. The man who has everything he ever wanted, but realizes how empty his life has been and how no one is actually interested in him personally. It's just his fame and fortune. But then there's Kate who's brutally honest and causes him to rethink everything. A friendship buds between them and Kate finds that she can finally let go and trust someone again and she starts changing for the better, but as always, something awful happens that causes quite the upheaval in her and Chris's friendship. To be honest, you're left wondering just where their friendship is heading because it's quite intense to be just friends. But it doesn't really say in the end and there are a few loose ends so I am hoping that there is a second book in the works.

New to me Author.

Friends or More?

In this story, we have Kate who has been going through the past few years with no purpose after losing the love of her life. She meets a movie actor named Chris and he tilts her world upside down. What Kate does not realize is she has tilted his world upside down also. These two build a friendship unlike most. There is one issue Chris has. Kate loves women. Many things will transpire in this book that you will find yourself wanting to rip someone’s hair out or just sit and cry and shake your head.

The story is wonderful and I cannot wait for the next book. I would recommend it.

I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.
