About the Series: The Mountain Man Mysteries
Lehigh Carter, a simple forester and logger in the Oregon Cascade Mountains, never wanted to solve crimes, hang around politicians, get married, or even adopt a dog. But one night he picked up an injured stray on the highway, and he soon discovered that no good deed goes unpunished. Bringing the injured pup to his ex-fiancee's vet clinic was his first mistake. The next thing you know, he's all tangled up with her, her politically connected family, fighting with crooked lawyers and cops, and solving crimes to keep himself and his woman out of jail.
