About Louise Lyons

I come from a family of writers. My mother has a number of poems published in poetry anthologies, my aunt wrote poems for the church, and my grandmother sparked my inspiration with tales of fantasy. I first ventured into writing short stories at the grand old age of eight, mostly about little girls and ponies. I branched into romance in my teens, and MM romance a few years later, but none of my work saw the light of day until I discovered FanFiction in my late twenties.

Posting stories based on some of my favorite movies, provoked a surprisingly positive response from readers. This gave me the confidence to submit some of my work to publishers, and made me take my writing “hobby” more seriously.

I live in the UK, about an hour north of London, with a mad Dobermann, and a collection of tropical fish and tarantulas. I work in the insurance industry by day, and I spend every spare minute writing. I am a keen horse-rider, and I love to run long-distance. Some of my best writing inspiration comes to me when my feet are pounding the open road. I often race into the house afterward, and grab pen and paper to make notes.

I have always been a bit of a tomboy, and one of my other great loves is cars and motorcycles. My car and bike are my pride and joy, and I love to exhibit the car at shows, and take off for long days out on the bike, with no one for company but myself.
