In my opinion, This book is very useful for those who want to work in the hospitality industry.
It shows us some examples on how to express abstract things in order to make the readers understand the concept. The communication skills are so important on our careers and this is an essential part of the knowledge needed to lead you to success.

During the course of Communication in the Hospitality Industry I was studying by Handbook written by Patrick Huwlyler. The book is quite short and useful in everyday and academic life. In the Handbook you can find clear and concise definition and advices about communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. You can also practice with this book during readings, as it has effective exercises for each topic. I recommend everyone to read this book before working on presentations.

This booklet analyzes communication in the Hospitality Industry and gives multiple strategies on how to effectively communicate, write, present and interact. It gives the reader guidelines and examples on proper communication skills and is easy to understand and follow. However the topics are at times lightly examined and just give an initial glance at the concept. The examples are supported by quotations or anecdotes that don't always fully connect to the subject matter. This booklet is a useful quick read that gives an entry point to an interesting topic overall.

On my opinion, the book is useful to learn how to communicate and avoid misunderstanding.
It explains us how to write an email, answer verbally to someone and act well in front of clients (body language).
Moreover, it is well structured, summarize and can help any manager to have a better communication with his Staff, Clients and Supervisor.
On the other hand, the explanations are quite short and sometimes not enough detailed to really understand.
But in a way, it leaves us a free interpretation ons the subject.

The book is about the communication in hospitality industry. It is about how to make good presentations, how to write clearly and professionaly and how to communicate effectively.
The communication in The Hospitality Industry book is well-written. It is divided into small sections what makes it easy to study and follow. The book is written with the simple languge so it will sute even a person with the average level of english. Moreover, it gives different examles and hints for each topic.
However, I find the blanc spaces those are given for answering the question quit useless. When people don`t have enough knowlege or just not sure it can be confusing.
All in all, the book is usefull and i would recommend it to people who want to learn about the subject.

This book is basically telling us how to communicate effectively and smartly. I personally think it is really useful for someone what's to study or work in the hotel industry and I also like how the teacher explain every detail things, for instance, how to communicate with the guests, how important is the verbal and non-verbal communication and also how to make a memorable presentation. I thing I think needs to be more improve is the presentation because there is not much actual example, but others is good for me.

The book has a very instructive and educational structure and is easy to grasp. It is organized in to shorter sections which makes it easier to read and understand. There is also room for the reader to get involved and participate in the different chapters by adding their own thoughts to the sections. We have been implementing the handbook in purpose to acquire knowledge about what communication is and how it´s used in our everyday life. Communication is a very broad subject but this handbook has allowed us to learn about the basic knowledge regarding what it stands for and how it´s used. My personal thought is that the handbook may be a bit too unclear at times but that it manages to explain the basics of communication to the reader.

The book goes through the topic of communications- specifically in the hospitality industry. It talks about what communication is and why it is important in such an industry. I personally liked that it went through the basics of communications, which is what I needed in order to grasp everything else that was being explained in class. It gave me the run-down on necessary information and it was all conveyed in simplicity. My only problem here is that the information was not deep and detailed enough. It's a good read for beginners, but if I were to go further into the topic of communications, I would find another- more in-depth- book about the topic. All in all, it was a pretty useful book in terms of helping me get started with the course, and I would recommend it for those who are also just starting out in communications.

The book: "Communication in The Hospitality Industry" describes many situations and many ways to deal with Hospitality. The book passes down passion for the field and teaches you how to become a true professional.
The book is really straight and clear because of its direct sentences that every person could understand without any problems.
Although, there were a couple of things that weren't clear to me such as some examples included in the first part of the book. Furthermore, sometimes I found the book too synthetic and recapped.
I would definitely recommend "Communication in The Hospitality Industry" to every person who is enthusiastic and passionated by the Hospitality Industry.

This book is really helpful for students studying hospitality as a major as it helps them improve their communication skills. The writing style in this book captures our attention and provides good examples and quotes from famous authors. However, the blank spaces provided for students to write seem to have no purpose as a lot of us students type our answers on our computers or write them on a separate paper anyways.

The book is very pedagogical written, divided into short sections which made the information easy to grasp. The book is structured for an active reader, where the reader can include his own thoughts, by using the different sections for writing down his own reflections. We where using the book as course material for Communication. Communication as a subject is complex and the book is a good introduction tool to get an overview of the subject. The information might be a little vague however, but overall I think the book is good.

Interesting book, it gives examples to illustrate what has just been said, and thus helps us to assimilate the information given.
The dynamic writing style keeps our attention on the book and the use of many quotes makes it more faithful.
However I do find that the use of blank space to answer questions is pretty useless as we don't really have any "sample answer" to refer to when we would like to check if what we have written is correct or not.

This book is about communication mainly focuses in the hospitality industry as stated in the title of the book. As this book is written for students, it is quite easy to read and understand. I wouldn't describe this as a book, more like a handout that you get from your teacher. It does have its uses in informing the reader about the topic of communication, however not in a vast amount of detail. on the other hand, I would recommend this "book" to anyone who is studying any sort of communication or customer service courses, it does give you a good perspective on the topic.
