About H. Schussman

I currently live in Northern California with my husband of 33 years and our crazy little cat, Loca. I travel at least 6 weeks a year throughout Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and Italy. I recently retired as a Physical Therapist to write full time. I specialized in Cognitive Disorders, Psychiatric Disorders, PTSD, Amputees, and general Geriatrics and Veterans. I love to work in my garden and to spend the afternoon wine tasting with my husband. For exercise I swim laps at the local pool and go for early morning speed walks.

My husband, writing, and traveling, are my passions.

Sean McGee has a chip on his shoulder. He's overly protective of the women in his life. He's also a patriot from the beginning--at eighteen years-old he enters the Marine Corp, then makes the ultra elite Recon. He becomes a city cop when he gets out, which lasts a couple of years before he realizes he doesn't have the resources to hunt the criminals down across all borders. The CIA solves that problem. When he meets and falls in love with a smart, sexy doctor, his stress level goes up. Now it's personal. He must protect Sport.

I loved this book. It was a fun read with lots of twists and turns. The characters were fun (or detestable!), but certainly interesting. The scenic descriptions were easy to picture in my mind's eye. The plot had me going from the beginning. I think this would make a great movie! Can't wait until Heidi's next book comes out.
