About Jake Bannerman

Author Bio.
J.S. Bannerman

Born and raised in the church, J.S. Bannerman has taken the dangerous stance to question events that have been spoon fed to him as the truth since his childhood. He continually pushes boundaries as a purveyor of terror and often strives to find that disquietude that exists inside each one of us.

He is a nomad, calling no one place home; choosing the life of a traveler while on the mission of writing the Family of Dog series. As a result you may find him in your town, writing at your local pub, crafting tales of horror so terrifyingly depraved and heartbreakingly cruel that you would never believe that they come from a mind as normal as his. Just beware, because within each tale is a message; it’s just up to you to figure out what it means.

Review by: Lee Bachh on Oct. 03, 2011 :
The Pitchfork Diaries Vol. 1 is a wickedly dark piece of horror that respects no boundaries set by the constraints of polite society. With a tone of unabashed clarity, Jake Bannerman takes us down a very twisted path that is as revoltingly startling as it is engaging. If you enjoy your horror on the disturbed and seriously raw side, you'll be as eager to devour this book as I was. Left craving more, I look forward to finding out what else this new horror talent can wring from his imagination into my own!

This book is delicious and full of depravity. I read it in one sitting; just could not put it down. If you are looking for something dark and disturbed, please read this book, you will not be disappointed. My favorite is the Scarecrow's Lament, I have to admit it made me giggle.
