What do your fans mean to you?
First, what matters to me most is getting the word of God out to his people. Without my readership, I would not be able to convey his messages effectively. Therefore, I am humbled by the people that take the time to read my books and my blog. Without them, I am not an effective writer for the Kingdom of God.
What are you working on next?
Currently, I am working on a book that teaches us the importance of children and what they mean to God. This book is about the fragile mind of a child and how it should be shaped and molded into a representation of Jesus Christ. Our character is built from what is placed into our environment, which ultimately transpires within our minds and resonates within our hearts. It is important to God for our little ones to know how precious they are to him, and how their parents can effectively show them the way to his favor and mercy. Prior to this book, I have released one other entitled, The Chosen: Signs & Wonders Experienced by a Prophet of God. I also have an arsenal of books pending release.
Who are your favorite authors?
I am in love with classic pentecostal greats, such as CH Spurgeon, John G Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, and many others. I also like Andrew Murray, AW Tozer, and James Allen. One can never go wrong with the penmanship of Christ, which is found within the Bible.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Being obedient to God's timing and his mission for me in my life. I am a Kingdom writer, a task that must be taken seriously. I am often awakened by God's holy angel that has been assigned to hold me accountable for penning his word on paper. It is not about me, but about the him. What also inspires me is the individual's who read my books. I pray that they will be transformed by the message within in some way. Changing the lives of others inspires me to keep writing.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend my time reading and listening to music. A newfound passion of mine is photography. So, I often take pictures.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
From vast research. Whatever is resonating within my spirit, I search for an read. Lately, I have not read any ebooks because of a demanding writing regimen.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes! The first story I wrote is entitled, The Chosen: Signs & Wonders Experienced by a Prophet of God. I wrote this manuscript in about two months, over the summer of 2016. This book flowed from my spirit, and God helped me deliver it on paper. It is a captivating read about the ups/downs of operating in the prophetic realm as well as what to expect.
What is your writing process?
I really do not have a process for writing. I sit down and just write! Sometimes I do a very "rough" outline of what I am going to write.
Describe your desk
My desk has a picture of a flower above it, to inspire me. My desk is organized, with my Bible and other reading materials on one end. On the opposite end are my pens and journals. My laptop is in the center of my desk.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the South. The South has great traditions and a strong spiritual stream. I was always in some form exposed to the church. That is something that makes growing up in the South special. Besides the cooking, spirituality is very strong in most areas. Being strong spiritually has always allowed me to think deeply about most topics. This "spills" over into my writing. As a result of my upbringing, it has definitely merged with who I have become spiritually. The two "merge" together very vividly and profoundly. Each has built my character into what it is today.
When did you first start writing?
I have always had the gift of writing. God equipped me with this gifting from the womb. When I was very young, my teachers noticed that I was a strong writer. I won many contests in school for my writing, and have had my writing featured in newspapers. So, I started writing when I was very young. I became more serious about writing as I got older. After I became a mother and lived my life, I began to think more profoundly. Writing resonated within my spirit so strongly, and when I write, I experience a sort of spiritual release. I love to write, and it calms my mind as well as my spirit.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Getting the word of God out to the masses motivated me to self-publish. I pray that as many hands that can get my books will be able to. The topics I write about are pressing in nature, therefore the traditional model of publishing did not fit with my mold. Traditional publishing sometimes can take a while, and some of my messages within the text are time-sensitive. They are produced for NOW, not later.
