Interview with Brittany Comeaux
What is your writing process?
I start with a simple idea, whether it's a character, a setting, or a struggle, and I go with it until it becomes a full story.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Fire. Love it.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I find Goodreads has been excellent for exposure. Word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was 11 years old. I wrote a short story for school and I never stopped.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I like having control over everything. I hate being in the dark about when and how everything gets done.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Playing video games, drawing, cooking, taking care of my baby, the usual stuff.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I find them on Goodreads. If they have a good reputation and I find the plot intriguing, I give it a try.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Oh God no....just no. Kill it with fire!
What do you read for pleasure?
Usually fantasy and young adult books, but occasionally I might read a non-fiction.
What do your fans mean to you?
It's very rewarding to see when people like my books, so I try to interact with my fans as much as possible.
