What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Understanding that life doesn't go on forever and that every day is important. It gives me the inspiration to accomplish something.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love music, movies, gardening, tennis, the beach and the Boston teams and working.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
My neighbor and friend Bob McAuley who has some really good published books here turned me on to Smashwords.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
When I was a kid I wrote a story about Superman meeting Thor.
What is your writing process?
I like to gather my thoughts in outline form first. Then I add ideas to each of the thoughts along the way. Soon I have the basic idea of where the story is going so it makes it easier to put it to paper.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I guess it was Huckleberry Finn and it completely transformed me into thinking what it would have been like to be his friend in those times.
How do you approach cover design?
For The Adventures of Dublin, my wife and I sat down one morning and reviewed all the pictures I possessed in my collect. We picked out three and eventually chose the one that best would describe Dublin.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Bill Bryson-Summer of 27-I love books about the early 20th century.
Joel Whitburn-Pop Memories-The early history of American Pop Music
Killing Lincoln-Bill O'Reilly-Helps you to understand the mood of the country when this tragedy occurred.

Various types of things.
What is your e-reading device of choice?

A most unique book written from my Irish Setter dog Dublin's perception . Both adults and children will enjoy this true life story. After spending every day for almost thirteen years together, I believe that if Dublin could have put pen to paper, this book is as close as possible to the what the result would be. A heartwarming book about a dog's life and times through her own eyes.
