I have too many favorite authors to list, but I like reading sexy contemporary romances that make me laugh, and maybe even tear up a bit. Right now I'm reading everything by Lauren Blakely, Vi Keeland, Tessa Bailey...but old favorites are Jill Shalvis, Lora Leigh, Maya Banks, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Tara Janzen and even historicals by Laura Kinsale, Judith McNaught, Sylvia Day.

Obviously I love to read! I have to read, even though I don't have as much time as I used to. I also love watching hockey during hockey season, cheering on my Winnipeg Jets! I enjoy traveling, trying new recipes and wines, and running to stay in shape and relieve stress!

I vaguely remember it - I think I was about ten or eleven years old. It was a complicated mystery set in a college...I wish I still had it!

Even after fifty books, my process is still evolving. I am not a plotter, but I do like to know what the turning points of the story will be, what the "realization" will be, or what the characters will learn about themselves that keeps them from being their best person, and some details about the characters and setting. But I like to learn more about them as I write the story, and I like to let them "take over" the story and surprise me!

I have a beautiful Kobo Aura H20. It is perfect for reading outside in bright sun (because I love to read out on my deck with a glass of wine, or at the beach or pool) but also in my dark bedroom. And it's waterproof, because I also like to read while taking long baths!

My desk is a long dark wood IKEA desk with many drawers. It is usually a mess. When tidy, it's quite pretty, with a small lamp, vase with flowers, a pretty planner, organizers, and file folders. Above it are bookshelves that hold MY books, as well as the reference books I use most frequently.

My earliest memories of writing are when I was about ten or eleven, when my parents gave me a little typewriter for Christmas. It was the BEST GIFT EVER! I spent hours in my bedroom writing "my novel."

In all honesty, I didn't choose it. I was published with some small digital-first publishers and was doing quite well with them, when markets and the business changed and they ended up shutting down. Luckily I got the rights to all my books back, and I re-released them myself. I was happy that I had the option available to keep my books out there and available for readers.

Writing itself energizes me and lifts my mood. Sure, there are times I get stuck and frustrated, but I've learned that just pushing on will get my through that. I love when pieces of a plot puzzle come together, when characters surprise me with what they say and do and when they grown and learn about themselves in a way that works. That makes me so happy!

EVERYTHING! I am truly grateful to everyone who reads my books. I write because I love it, but I publish because I want to share my stories with others and I always and thankful when people buy and read my books.

Right now, I'm just getting started on a new hockey series that will come out in 2019 - The Wynns. The stories will center around a big, hockey-royalty family and all their drama, conflicts and romances!
