Published 2014-01-25.
When did you first start writing?
This was the first book I ever wrote. Since writing it I have played with some other fiction type stories but I haven't tried to publish any of them.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story of this book is my life and how the trauma of being kidnapped affected me.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has been great. I have had many people reach me for interviews for magazines and tv shows through the website. And Smashwords is wonderful aboutcontacting me before giving out contact information. Very classy.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to get ideas out of my brain. I so enjoy that my book is helping those who read it.
What do your fans mean to you?
Having people like my book is gratifying. I worked on it for 11 years. It's kind of like my baby. I like knowing people enjoy it.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, John Saul, Agatha Christy, James Mitchner just to name a few.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The hope that each new day brings me.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I am studying the seminary and collecting all the superhero movies.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
It was an assignment by my 7th grade English teacher. I had to write about a shadow. It was supposed to be one page. I worked on it over the weekend and when I turned it in it was 30 pages and not done. It was a Hardy Boys, Three Investigators crossover. The shadow was killing people. I was so in line with the way I thought back then.
What is your writing process?
Beggining to end. I don't make outlines I just tell the story.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The Hardy Boys Mystery on Flight 747. I wanted to be their brother.
