Interview with Lindsay Murray
Published 2022-02-18.
When did you first start writing?
I was eight years old and I wrote a novel about how I turned into a superhero. I've been a superhero ever since.
I mean, writer! I've been a writer ever since.
What's the story behind your latest book?
How To Tame a Brat is my current work, and will be published April 30th. Reuben and Alice were supposed to be side characters in the Greenwood Valley series (as of yet, still unpublished). I literally just made them up as fillers. But then I got to thinking; which characters are least likely to end up together? A four-foot eleven (and a half) brat and an old-school Dominant who is almost seven feet tall? Yep, least likely to find each other. So... what if they did? What if it was destiny?
Then Alice took over my brain, and the rest was history!
What are you working on next?
I have a few big projects coming up! Several more books in the Brats of the Underground, Michael Black and his brothers all have stories, and of course, the Greenwood Valley series. I'm also participating in a fundraiser anthology, and a few challenges on Literotica.
How do you approach cover design?
I use Canva for everything! I start with the setting or something that represents the main character, and then play around with stock images, color, background, and fun effects. I try to keep it simple.
What do you read for pleasure?
YA, romance, thriller/suspense, crime, and sometimes something with a hint of the supernatural. I really enjoy contemporary romance, despite the fact that I mostly write dark and BDSM romance. Some of my favorite authors are Melanie Harlow, Tabatha Kiss, Gail Carriger, and James Sheehan.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I do everything on my cell phone. I am the kind of person who loses things regularly, so it's best to keep everything in one place.
Describe your desk
Complete and utter chaos. I know where everything is.

Megan's life hasn't been quite as colorful since her slavery to Reuben Weston ended nearly five years ago. So when Reuben offers to set her up with something, she jumps at the chance. The catch? She has no idea who he is.
