Lonesome Dove (Best Western novel ever with lots of good dialogue)
The Accidental Tourist (Sweet and sad at the same time, powerful prose)
The Transylvania Detective Squad (Because its mine)

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Boarding schools near St. Louis Missouri. The nuns made me read.

What motivated you to become an indie author?
No agent would respond to my queries, but I thought I had written too good a story to not at least put out there for others to enjoy. That's why I give many copies away for free.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Lots of free copies given away, but I wish people would leave reviews- good (hopefully) but if not I still would like to hear from them.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Creativity
What do your fans mean to you?
Its a great feeling when some stranger leaves you a review saying they enjoyed your book - better than any drug there is.
What are you working on next?
A sequel to my Western novel and a Sci-fi novel
